How do you ask? Bribe them!
The blog post tells it in better detail but the gist of it is offer up a chance to win a jumbo Hershey's bar and they'll be knocking all night long. The way kids enter is to draw a picture on a piece of paper of a pumpkin - all ages then can enter.
